LUDU Productions was founded by Lucy D’Cruz, an award-winning Filmmaker and Director with a passion for storytelling, who has worked all over the globe.​

 

She formed LUDU Productions in 2012, having built up her reputation and contacts network across the UK Television industry, and with a portfolio including; Documentary, Drama, Reality TV, Sport, News, Fictional Film, Entertainment, Promos, Motor Racing and Children's Television.

Having since set up in both Buenos Aires, Argentina and Sydney, Australia, aside from numerous other short-term overseas contracts, including the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, her exposure to many different projects combined with her natural creative flair and passion enables her to fully comprehend a client's brief, always meeting their desired style and vision.

With the advantage of a background in Editing and Producing, Lucy’s creative eye catches exactly what enhances a compelling story to make it visually beautiful. Her knack is to delve deep into human stories, while treating sensitive topics with care. Her first independent mid-length documentary ‘My Body, Their Choice’, on the abortion law in Argentina, which she self-shot, directed and edited, won awards at several film festivals globally in 2022 and 2023, including Women’s Voices Now and BIFF.

She has gone on to direct her feature debut ‘The Long Quiet’, Best Documentary Feature winner at LIFF 2024 and NEIFF 2025, along with directing and editing multiple sports documentaries, obdoc series and shorter features for major broadcasters, including BBC’s Inside Out, ITV’s Mourinho, CJZ’s Bondi Rescue and FIFA Icons. She continues to push the boundaries of storytelling and is widely recognised in a male dominated role in the industry.

With a pool of experienced freelancers, LUDU Productions is able to offer a full video production package, from pre-production, shooting, all the way through to post.
